The Nikon L830 is a compact, ultra-high-power zoom bridge camera offering sophisticated features with simplicity in usage. With a vari-angle LCD monitor and a 16.0 megapixel BSI-CMOS sensor, taking great looking pictures has never been easier.
Available in Black, Red and Plum, the L830 comes with 16.0 effective megapixels and a BSI-CMOS sensor. It has 34x optical zoom covering a wide angle from 22.5mm - 765mm (35mm format equivalent) and a 68x Dynamic Fine Zoom* that covers approximately 1530mm (35mm format equivalent). Also, it enables macro shooting from as close as approximately 1cm.
* Dynamic Fine Zoom refers to the areas in which the camera can zoom while maintaining resolution from the maximum optical telephoto zoom position.
Stills and movies are now enhanced with a lens-shift and electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) and a 5-axis system.
With target finding autofocus and a host of Special Effects, the L830 gives the freedom to take and edit your pictures with ease.
The NIKKOR lens with 34x optical zoom lets you take high-quality close-ups of faraway action, and with Dynamic Fine Zoom you get up to 68x* zoom power without compromising the high resolution. Even when zoomed-in all the way, you’re assured of steady images thanks to the lens-shift VR (Vibration Reduction) and firm grip design.
* Magnification as calculated from the full-wide end of optical zoom.
Shoot beautiful Full HD movies, with stable images even while walking and talking with your subject or recording scenery from a moving vehicle. That’s because intelligent 5-Axis Hybrid VR effectively reduces different types of shake. Confidently shoot high-angle and low-angle shots with rock solid results.
The 921k-dot high-resolution tiltable 7.5 cm/3-in. VGA LCD monitor enables shooting of high-angle shots over people’s heads, low-angle kid’s- and pet’s-eye-view shots, and more. This RGBW monitor includes White pixels for improved visibility outdoors as well as energy savings. Accepts readily available R6/AA-size batteries so you won’t run out of power while away from home.
L830 deliver movies with reduced noise, jaggies and moiré. It renders various fast-moving scenes naturally, such as galloping horses, the splashing of water or the view from a moving car.
Working in concert to deliver high-quality images even when it’s dark are the Backside illumination CMOS image sensor, NIKKOR lens, and the EXPEED C2 image-processing system.
So simple, all you do is point the camera in the direction of your subject and the camera immediately predicts the intended subject and specifies the focus area. As the active focus area is automatically specified in accordance with the size of the subject, it is effective for a variety of subjects — from faces to still objects — whether or not they are in the center.
Note: Full HD refers to this camera’s ability to record movies in 1920 x 1080 format.
